Still reading about Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot - this book continues to shock and impress me, much in the way that "Unbroken" did.
I have just about finished one of flittens - this one needs a bit of finishing at the thumb. I have to say, while I love 98% of this flitten, I am disappointed at the finger end. The pattern calls for a picot bind off. It looks pretty, but has flared out quite a bit.
It is enough of a flare that I can fold it back like a cuff and it almost looks better.
Right now I am undecided as to what to do. I could rip it back and try decreasing a bit more before the picot bind off, or I could rip it back and not bother with it at all (just leave it as knit / purl rows). I could also see if blocking helps at all. Hm. Thoughts?

Hmm I have never seen flittens before. How neat! I would be afraid of the fancy trim, lol!

Lovely wrist warmers! I just made some stripe ones for my daughter and shared it on Ginny's yarn along, too.
Is the yarn cotton or wool? If so, you could wash it and let it shrink up a bit that way?
If it were me, I would rip it back and not end it that way...but I think I would like a plainer edging :)
Your mittens look lovely but the floppy edge would bother me a great deal, so I would rip back =) Maybe you could do the picot bind off with a smaller needle? And a few decreases beforehand could also help, too, like you suggested. But I would definitely do the picot edge instead of leaving it plain as the little picots look lovely and fit the pattern on the wrist so well. Best of luck with the decision, I know it can be hard sometimes ^^
