Where did you begin 2008?
At home, with family.
What was your status by Valentine's Day?
Married.
Were you in school (anytime this year)?
Not at all. Still can't believe it has gone by so fast.
Did you have to go to the hospital?
Luckily, not this year.
Did you have any encounters with the police?
Two - once for a traffic violation (went through a red light. it was coming home from Rhinebeck. 20 minutes from home. I didn't see it until I was under it and made a poor choice.) once for the house alarm going off (turned out to be nothing, but I wanted someone else there just in case.)
Where did you go on vacation?
Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands - can't wait to go back! I also took a quick trip to DC in June and that was fun too.
What did you purchase that was over $500?
I can't think of a purchase that was over $500... I probably spent several times that much on diapers (sadly. I still want to try the g-diapers.)
Did you know anybody who got married?
Sean & Caroline, Jamie & Jen
Did you know anybody who passed away?
My grandfather, and the dad of my favorite 9-year-old.
Did you move anywhere?
We moved stuff around the house again, but that's all.
What sporting events did you attend?
We watched / participated in dachshund races at the local rescue group meet-ups, does that count?

What's the one thing you thought you would never do but did in 2008?
Win the fantasy football picks pool with/against Dan, Tom, & Harry or have a (somewhat) successful booth at a local craft fair.
What has been your favorite moment(s)?
Relaxing in the BVI, watching Lorelai figure out how to do anything / everything, Rhinebeck, rav party
What's something you learned about yourself?
That I can hack it as a mom - I have had some fabulous role models and I have a fabulous support system.
Any new additions to your family?
In my family of friends, yes - Will and Patrick.
What was your best month?
On the whole it was a pretty good year, each month has a highlight. Maybe November? Lorelai turned 1 and we hosted Thanksgiving - that was a good month.
What music will you remember from 2008?
Brittany / Womanizer, Coldplay,
Made new friends?
Yes, Jenn & Addison through the baby groups and I'm going to have to agree with Betsy - if I met you through fiber you are my friend :)
New best friend?
Those who are maintained their status!
Favorite night out?
New York City to see MacBeth with Patrick Stewart, the Rav party @ Rhinebeck
Any regrets?
"Forget regret or life is yours to miss." Do the best you can with what you have while you have it.
What do you want to change in 2009?
I always have ideas I want to put forth to make change. They are pretty standard. (My resolutions will be a separate post.)
Overall, how would you rate this year?
This year started out sad, but ended on a good note. I'm cautiously optimistc for 2009.
What would you change about 2008?
Things happened and didn't happen, and I'm ok with how it all worked out.

The car, SnB, baby groups
Have any life changes in 2008?
My baby turned 1, that's a pretty good milestone.

Nope.
Have any car accidents?
Well, my car was backed into a fence railing, but it was an accident (and I wasn't driving the car!)

Nope.
Get a new job?
Yes, I now work for an agency contracted to Google. I was approved for online tutoring. I've been doing model / sample knitting for Schaefer Yarns, Lornas Laces and am in talks with J.knits. And I write the show notes for the LimeNViolet podcast.
Do you have a New Year's resolution?
Always and it's not just one.
Do anything embarrassing?
Only mildly so.
Buy anything new from eBay?
Not this year.
What was your favorite purchase of 2008?
My Rhinebeck yarns / Sheep mug, wii fit

Be honest - did you watch American Idol?
Honestly I'll watch most any reality crap, but not that.
Did you get sick this year?
Mildly so.
Start a new hobby?
I taught myself crochet.
Been snowboarding?
Not this year. I haven't been out to a mountain for skiing / snowboarding in years - I miss it (skiing that is, I hated snowboarding.)
Drank Starbucks in 2008?
Yes, thanks to listening to Lime & Violet, then going to SnB at Starbucks. I know a few of the baristas at the one in town by their names and they are fantastic!
Are you happy to see 2008 go?
I'm always happy for the new year, it feels like a fresh start. I am hopeful that 2009 will have more positives than negatives, but on the whole 2008 was not a bad year. The only way out is through, so here we go again!
